I got The Call! My wonderful agent called me with the exciting news that John Scognamiglio, editor-in-chief of Kensington Books, made us a two-book offer on ACCORDING TO JANE and my next work of women's fiction!! Although it's still going to be some months before its release, ACCORDING TO JANE will be coming out in fiction/trade paperback in FALL 2009! And I just have to add...YAY!!!! Thanks so much to everyone for being so supportive as I chased this publishing dream. I couldn't have done it without you.

I'm thrilled to announce that ACCORDING TO JANE won the 2007 Golden Heart for Best Novel with Strong Romantic Elements at RWA's 27th Annual National Conference!
By the way, let me tell you that it's entirely possible to be delighted and panicky at the same time. With 2,000 authors and publishing-industry professionals in the audience, even seasoned public speakers admitted to a touch of stage fright the night of July 14th. But, despite the nerves and the months of anticipation, when the moment finally came, I could only feel honored...to have my work recognized, to be among such fabulous finalists and to get to share the excitement of the night with my writing mates, my good friends and my family.
Oh, and just for the record, the desserts were outstanding, too!
